The festival kicks off on Saturday with a line-up of amazing musicians taking to the stage. Salsa Celtica, Niteworks, Jarlath Henderson & Ross Ainslie, + many more. Some of the biggest names in Celtic and world music, and some up and coming local talent. All appearing on the Breabadair stage inside the main marquee. 12:00 - 23:00
Salsa Celtica’s synthesis of Afro Latin Salsa with Scottish and Irish traditional music has taken the band on a remarkable journey. From the village halls of Scotland to some of the most prestigious venues and festivals around the world, Salsa Celtica have established themselves as one of the most exciting live acts ever to come out of the Scottish music scene.

Formed on the Isle of Skye, Niteworks fuse Gaelic language and traditional music with electronic influences to create a unique and exhilarating sound.
Having recently sold out the Barrowlands as part of Celtic Connections, we are delighted to introduce Niteworks with an extended band line up and special guests.

Jarlath, Ross and their band are musicians of exceptional talent. Creating a unique blend of Scottish and Irish music for Uilleann pipes, border pipes, whistle and song. Together they provide beautiful, enigmatic, up-to-date, contemporary reflection of traditional Scottish and Irish music.
THE TOMMY BENTZ BAND
The Tommy Bentz Band hail from Wisconsin USA, and extensively tour regionally in the US, Europe and bi-annually in the UK. The Tommy Bentz Band are a fantastic power trio that has been in existence for over 15 years, jamming in the style of "the Allman Brothers meets Van Morrison".
Vaska are a Glasgow based trio whose music combines traditional artistry with front-running arrangements. Their style exhibits self-composed tunes with the melodies from Scotland, England and Ireland which helps create their distinct sound. This exciting line-up comprises of young musicians fully-immersed in Glasgow’s thriving music scene and students both past and present of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. They are a fresh-cut combination of impressive melody players and powerful backing musicians. This band features accordionist Aileen Sweeney, guitarist Pablo Lafuente and fiddle and piano player, Ellen Pellegrom.
Conflict Hope are an extremely talented trio from Waid Academy in Anstruther. They have performed in various Scottish venues over the years but also in Europe - including the famous Hard Rock Cafe in Madrid. The band consists of Jake Rodger on Vocals/Guitar, Camilo Nicolas on bass and Inaxio Abecia on drums. We are delighted and honoured to have these prob soon to be famous youngsters as part of our Breabadair 2019 line up.
THIRD TIME LUCKY
These guys are a brilliant S4 band from Levenmouth Academy. Originally part of a group who were selected from the whole of Scotland to perform at the SQA Star Awards in Kelvingrove Glasgow, they are a talent not to be missed.
Third Time Lucky consists of Calla Urquhart, Leah Thomson, Erin Cunningham, Lola Taylor, Caleb Cunningham and Eve Farmer.
